Recruitment of firefighter and firefighter/paramedic candidates

Clark County Fire District 6 (CCFD6) has contracted with Public Safety Testing to conduct the written and physical ability tests for the department. The test results are then sent to Fire District 6 twice per year and an eligibility/hiring list is maintained.

Once on the website at
www.PublicSafetyTesting.com:
- Applicants can apply online with Fire District 6.
- Applicants can also apply with other fire agencies that are using Public Safety Testing.
- Applicants can obtain information about each agency, such as department and community information, salary, benefits, how many vacancies, any special requirements an agency may have, etc.
- Applicants can obtain information about the written and physical ability examinations and will be sent a study guide after they register.
- Applicants will be able to choose a written testing date or location most convenient for them. Tests are offered frequently at various locations around the state. The firefighter physical ability test (CPAT) is conducted in June & December.
- Tests are not conducted online.
After the applicants have tested, and if they pass both the written and physical ability tests, their scores are sent to Fire District 6.
When a vacancy occurs, Fire District 6 will conduct further testing/screening of a selected number of applicants.
