Date: July 4th, 2007
The Felida Neighborhood Association sponsors the annual Children's 4th of July parade each year. If you would like to participate, line-up begins at 10:45 a.m. at the Felida Park located at NW 122nd Street and NW 36th Avenue. Children and their families decorate bicycles, wagons, and themselves for this non-motorized family event. At 11:15 a.m., the parade begins from the park and marches north on NW 36th Avenue with Fire District 6's antique fire engine leading the way. The Clark County Sheriff's office blocks roads while the group walks and rides up to NW 131st Street heading west through the neighborhood and making their way back to Felida Park. At the park, the Salmon Creek Lions Club will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs for a donation. There will also be fun field games and prizes for children. Fire District 6 will provide fire engine rides on our antique fire engine. Join the fun.
