Fire District 6 fire stations are public buildings. Our community is welcome to drop in at any of our stations. Keep in mind, our first responsibility is responding to emergencies so at times our firefighters will not be available.

Groups are welcome to schedule a tour of one of our fire stations as well. We ask each group to try to give a couple of weeks notice for a tour request. There may be times our firefighters have scheduled training that cannot be rescheduled or another group may be on the calendar already.

Firefighters enjoy showing visitors the tools on their fire engines, where they live away from their families, and what they look like dressed for fire so children are not frightened. There is a lot to see at the fire station. We haven't sent anyone home without a better understanding of what firefighters do and the equipment they use to do their job.
